Community Show COLOR: BRIGHT & BOLD

October 2 to November 2nd, 2024

Colors: Bright & Bold Express your colorful self and show off the colors of YOUR World! Do you love expressing the colors Nature brings your way? Do you thrive on “mixing it up” and coloring outside the lines? Take us on a “color-filled adventure” and let us see how Color inspires your creative spirit!

RULES OF ENTRY:

Accepted Media:    

2-D media including Textiles, Fiber Art, Oils, Acrylics, Watercolors, Pastels, Drawing, Print Making (artist pulled prints only), Collage, Mixed Media, Encaustic, *Glass, & *Ceramics (*Must be under 15 lbs.). No photography or video. All artwork must arrive with hangers already attached and be able to be hung securely.

Size Limitations: Artworks not to exceed 26”, outside dimension in any one direction.

 Hanging Requirements: All work will be displayed on the wall, and must be mounted, framed or on gallery wrap canvas, and must be wired for hanging.  (No saw tooth hangers please.)

 Entry Fees:  

Artists may enter up to 3 pieces.  Entry fees are $10 for the first entry, $5 for the second entry, and $5 for the third entry

Sale of Artwork

All work MUST be for sale. Art by the Sea Gallery and Studio retains a 25% commission on all sales for this exhibition; please price your work accordingly.

 Awards:  

The judge of the show for this year will be announced at a later date.

Prizes will be $50 First Place, $25 Second Place, $15 Third Place, plus awards of Honorable Mention Ribbons. A People’s Choice Award will be decided by public ballot; the winner to receive a one month exhibition as a Featured Artist at Art by the Sea Gallery and Studio, during 2025.  

 Artist Schedule:  

Art Delivery: Sept 29 & 30th, Sun. & Monday. 11-4 PM, Drop Off      

1-3 pieces of art with paperwork and fees

If you need an earlier date, or alternate time, to drop off your work, please call the Gallery.

If Shipping Artwork: Work must be shipped to arrive by Sept 28th, 2024. Please prepay return shipping and include all paperwork and fees. Exhibit Ends: Saturday, November 4, 2023, 5:00 pm .  

Artwork Pick Up: Sunday & Monday, November 3th & 4th, 2024. Artwork may be picked up between 11am-4pm
