Celebration of the Arts

September 27 to October 31, 2024

The Mindpower Gallery in Reedsport Oregon will Celebrate 35 years in business with an artist exhibit that will span over 6,000 square feet of space. The Gallery is inviting artists across Oregon to submit up to two pieces of art for its juried 35th Anniversary Show for a ‘A Celebration of Art’ curated exhibition that is unique to Oregon artists.

Artists are asked to send submissions via email to gallery@mindpowergallery.com with “35th Anniversary Show” in the subject line. Limit 2 entries per artist. Submissions are open to all two- and three-dimensional artworks including fine crafts. All artwork must be new and in ‘ready to hang or exhibit’ formats. There is no entry fee to submit. “We are looking for pieces that are unique to the artists’ work. What defines you as an artist, what celebrates your unique perspective, what do you bring to the world of art? We hope all these questions will bring in artwork that will celebrate all that is happening across the world of art and will allow for a curated exhibit that really celebrates the creative talent that resides here in Oregon full or part-time.”

Submissions are limited to Oregon Artists 18 years or older.

Submission Deadline: August 24th

Acceptance Announcement: August 26th

Delivery Dates: September 10th through the 14th   

All artwork must arrive by the second week in September or be dropped off directly to the gallery during regular business hours between 10 am to 5 pm from Tuesday Sept. 10th through Saturday Sept. 14th.

Mindpower Gallery Anniversary Show dates: September 27th through October 31st.

The Anniversary Show will kick off with a two-day event opening celebration. Opening dates of September 27thand September 28th, with wine tastings, music and meet & greets with artists who can make the opening. The Exhibit will remain on display through October 31st.

Pick-up: Artwork will be available for pick up or return from Nov. 1st through Nov. 9th during regular business hours. Special arrangements can be made for Sunday/Monday (regularly closed business days) pickup prior to the show ending.

RULES OF ENTRY:

Accepted Media:    

2-D media including oil, acrylic, watercolor, pastel, drawing, print making (artist- pulled prints), collage, mixed media & encaustic. (No photography in this show please.)

Please limit entries to a maximum of approximately 16” x 20”due to space consideration.

 All work to be hung on the wall must be framed or on gallery wrap canvas; including a wire hanger (no saw tooth hangers please).  

 Entry Fees:  

The non-refundable fees to exhibit are: $10 for first piece, $5 for the second piece and $5 for the third piece.  

 Awards:  

Judge to be announced

Prizes will be $50 first place, $25 second place, $10 third place awards, plus awards of Honorable Mention ribbons.  

A People’s Choice Award will be decided by public ballot, the winner to receive a one month exhibition as featured artist at Art by the Sea Gallery and Studio during 2022. 

 Artist Schedule:  

Art Delivery: June 5th & 6th, Sun. & Monday. 11-4 PM, Drop Off      

1-3 pieces of art with paperwork and fees

Artist Reception: June 11th, Saturday, 2:00 - 4:00 p.m.

Exhibit Ends: July 2nd,, Saturday, 5:00 p.m.  

Artwork Pick Up: July 3rd & 4th, Sunday & Monday 11 – 5 p.m.  

*Note: During this exhibition the gallery commission will be 25%; please price your work accordingly. Remember to bring a copy of your biography to be included in the show binder.
