About the Artist

 Kathleen was born in Clovis, raised in Fresno, California, and has ties to Canada, Kentucky, and Oregon, where she now lives and loves it.

Kathleen was taught oil painting by Eleanor Scott Nevins in California. She married and traveled through most of the Western United States painting landscapes and whatever captured her fancy.

Kathleen has exhibited her work wherever she lived while raising three lovely daughters. Kathleen has traveled to Africa, Senegal and Egypt, and the Caribbean, Central America, Mexico, Istanbul, Budapest, Cyprus, France, England, Switzerland, and Hawaii.

Kathleen specializes in traditional impressionistic land and sea scenes and Essence Energy oils. Essence energy paintings are gifts of intuitive interpretation of Kathleen’s sensing the energy of individuals, places, events, emotions or concepts. Each painting is a unique “snapshot” of what lies unseen within. Created while in a light state of meditation after she states gratitude for what she will paint, her paintings bring joy and life to any room.

Using impressionistic and traditional detailed techniques that dramatize scenes from around the world, Kathleen focuses on the magical beauty surrounding us in varied settings.
